Another dress for my mum.

She likes to nag on me; always has a problem with my hair; she is very picky on food and never easy to let her try something new; never 100% believe on the news she told you, you might get "an alien just landed on earth"; But, you will never get a mum who rocks a cheongsam like ready-to-wear; the food she cooks you ain't get it anywhere; the things she can do you never done. Happy Mother's Day and Happy Birthday to my mummy! (yep, she born right on the Mothers Day)

A dress for my mum.

A dress that I designed for my mum to attend my graduation day. Although she didn't make it as what I designed, probably because I'm amateur, but I still happy with this Valentino inspired design.

Vogue Festival 2014

This year, Vogue Festival fall on 29 - 30 March at Southbank Centre, London. By partner with Harrods, once again they pulled out a great celebration. I am very excited to get the ticket for 'The King of Glamour: Valentino". It will be amazing to meet Mr. Garavani and hear the story of himself and his brand.

If you ever live in London, you will know it is very hard to get a clear blue sky like the photo shown above. I supposed, the sky also feel 'Vogue'. Amazing day, amazing venue, amazing event.

Me.

There is so much to do at the Vogue Festival. You can walk the Harrods live catwalk, have your one and only Vogue cover shoot, get make-up by Burberry and Chanel team, have your hair done, etc. There is also a Vogue shop which sells a lot merchandise which only for the festival.

When you do your Vogue cover shoot, you will have the chance
to accessorise yourself with the Chanel accessories, including my
personal favourite, the Coco doll. Photo by Vogue.uk

Of cause I will do the cover shoot as well, the Chanel make up team helped me to touch up my skin for perfect photo, I felt quite awkward to do the make up but they done a really good job. And here is my photo when I doing the Vogue cover shoot. I'm too shy to show the cover, a backstage photo is enough.

And yes, I shoot the cover with the Coco doll! I'm so much in love with that doll. After all the fun and nonsense, it's time for Mr. Garavani's talk. Mr. Valentino Garavani is a wise man, a true wise man. He is unexpectedly friendly and down to earth. He told his audience about how he started his career and how he overcame those obstacles. He also a gentleman, he kissed Alexandra Shulman's hand upon his arrival also kissed once again when he leave. I can tell he very much in love with London as he keep mentioned London is the capital of the world!

Valentino's talk rounded up day one of the Vogue Festival. I truly understand how a giant stand tall. You and your skill are not the only thing that keep you success but also your personality and your attitude. Be a gentleman, be wise, be humble, those are the things I learnt on Mr. Valentino Garavani.

Lastly, this is the advise that given by Mr. Garavani to all of the audience.
'My advice to you all would be to believe, to appreciate what life gives you and try to be optimistic and just to be happy.'

For Adriano B.

I know this pretty boy on Facebook. I was helping my friend looking for a male model to do a photo shoot and I came across him. He is a very friendly and cheerful boy. He represented ICON model in Rome. I drew this image for his birthday, also as a token to thank his help previously. To be honest, I don't think i draw it well, it kind of right and wrong... There is a lot touch up need to be done but I do like the raw drawing feeling. So, here is the drawing,

When I drew Coco...

Coco Rocha is my favorite female model of all time. In 2012, I drew a drawing of her and posted to instagram with tagging her, 'I hope you like it'. After a day, she replied! She love it and thanks me for it, this is the biggest encouragement I ever receive from someone I really like. Here is the drawing I did.

Hysteria @ Maison Bertaux Gallery

This Wednesday, I had the chance to attend the Hysteria art preview at my favourite patisserie in London, Maison Bertaux. To be honest, when I was invited by my friend who works in Maison Bertaux, I didn't expect much as I actually have no idea who are those artist. When I arrived, the first picture that catch my eyes is the collage pop art by Collagism, Aida Wilde and Shuby which has a strong 50's glamour in it.

Since then, I'm sure this gonna be fun! Having a glass of red with some delicious Maison Bertaux's éclair, I browsed though every artwork, and I really amazed by the rich, eye-feasting mix media art (actually quite crowded, I shall say 'squeezing through people and have a glance at art'). Here is my favourite picked.

After that, I went upstairs for the Jeffrey Disaster's artworks presentation. Actually at the window of Maison Bertaux, there is a teapot displayed at the shelf which is one of the work by Jeffrey Disaster. He painted calming, serene face on everything, vase, teapot, cup, music sheets, oil painting, everything! I'm quite fascinating with the impact of those works, it is such a silent bomb I would say. In his art, there is a kind of impact feeling but yet it feels zen. You must go and have a look, and you will know what I mean. Anyway, here is some of my personal favourite.

He cuts real money for this!

This is my favourite!

The exhibition will last until 15th June. You can go to Maison Bertaux, having a relaxing afternoon tea and looking at those artworks. If you like any artworks, you can purchase it, just simply ask anyone in the shop.

London Fashion Week AW14 - Street style.

"Fashion is about something else that comes from within you." - Ralph Lauren.
"It’s a new era in fashion - there are no rules. It’s all about the individual and personal style, wearing high-end, low-end, classic labels, and up-and-coming designers all together." - Alexander McQueen.

Again, another post about London Fashion Week, perfect place to bring out your best(or worst) outfits and show it confidently. In my opinion, it should be all about personal style and how you present yourself, even you just wear a tee with a leather jacket, you still can be absolutely stunning. It doesn't need to be a fancy embellished jacket with high-end branded top plus an out-standing Philip Treacy, because your outfits should portrait yourself. But it seems LFW have already given an impression of "different(weird/maximalism) = fashion", which I highly doubt it! Also there are some "quite" similar taste or style... which I'm not so sure is it "individual" or just follow? You will be shocked how much "different" people on set. But anyway, I still enjoy it a lot.

Here is some street-style I like which I took on the day 2 of LFW.
