Jasmine | 茉莉公主

Finally, my third Disney Princess makeover is here! Fresh and hot (just finished it right before I composed this post)! Princess Jasmine, an exotic, fiery beauty from the Middle-east. She is fierce, intelligent and rebellious (in a good way). What she is after is a chance to see the world, a chance to experience the world, the world outside the castle wall until she met Aladdin. After all, she is still a royal blood. Freedom is never a royal thing but, with Aladdin, she found the freedom to love. She represents "freedom".

She is the only Arabic/Middle-east princess, so her dress will be more oriental and exotic. The Middle-east area  is famous for their stunning colour fabric and exquisite jewelery, so as a princess, this must be included in her dress. Now the question is, skirt or pants? Skirt looks pretty and elegant, but pants looks strong and independent. As for Jasmine, I say pants is suitable for her, so here is the design.

                                                                                                                                                                   

终于，第三个迪斯尼公主改造诞生了！既新鲜又热腾腾的（才刚画完 > <）。茉莉公主，一个来自中东具有异国风情的美女。她强悍，聪明伶俐，也挺叛逆的。他梦想着城堡外的生活；一个未知的世界，一段新的体验。直到遇到阿拉丁，她才如愿以偿。身为皇族的她，没什么自由可言，可是阿拉丁让她体验了自由与爱。她代表着“自由”。

她是迪斯尼唯一一个中东地区的公主，所以她的衣衫比较东方情调。中东地区以五彩斑斓的布料与璀璨夺目的首饰闻名，这些绝对得在茉莉公主的衣着中体现。可是问题是，裙或裤？裙子让她看起来漂亮与优雅；裤子却看起来落落大方。考量茉莉公主的性格，裤子绝对是首选。

My inspiration is her name, Jasmine, so I used jasmine flower as the main element for my design. From the headpiece to her shoes, everything is designed in jasmine flower patterns. The jewelery will be in gold with white opal for the flower. At the collar, a fine designed jasmine pattern lace is sewn on with a deep v-cut down to the belly and tied up with a jasmine gold belt. 

I struggled quite a lot on the colour. I tried pink, blue, red, yellow, black, green, but all failed. At last, I went with light cyan, a colour that represents a joyful personality and a love for life.

                                                                                                                                                                   

我的灵感来自于她的名字——茉莉。由此，茉莉花成为了我的主要设计元素，从发饰到鞋子都有茉莉花的设计。首饰将会是由金叶片与白蛋白石花而组成。领子的设计由非常细腻的茉莉花蕾丝设计，一路沿着V领的边延伸到肚脐，再由一条金色茉莉花腰带束缚着。

颜色方面，我可就头痛了。试了好多颜色都失败，有粉红，红，蓝，黑，绿等等。最后我选择了代表乐观与热爱生命的青蓝色。

This time I specially posted a close-up picture to show more details on it. I added a lot of details in this design to enhance the exotic and exquisite feeling. I personally love the collar so much!

Cinderella | 灰姑娘

"A dream is a wish your heart makes when you're fast asleep. In dreams you will lose your heartaches. Whatever you wish for, you keep. Have faith in your dreams, and someday, your rainbow will come smiling through. No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true." — Cinderella.

My second Disney Princess makeover is Cinderella, the girl who never gives up hope in her life. She always dreams for a better life and keep fights for it! (not literally but she never loses her hope even she been bullied by her step-families.) Her key characteristic is "hopeful".

By the help of her Fairy Godmother, she has the most wonderful (for that era) silver blue gown with a pair of glass slipper for a night. I am not her Fairy Godmother, but I going to redesign her one-night-only gown. The purpose of that gown is making her stand out among all the girls in that ball, so it must be something different. She needs to be the "Midnight Jewel".

                                                                                                                                                                   

终于，我的第二个迪斯尼公主改造就是灰姑娘，一个生命充满希望的女生。困苦的生活从不打击她，反之，她却一直相信终有一天她的苦日子将会结束。就如她歌中所唱的，“要对自己的梦想有信心，总有一天，彩虹会出现。”所以，灰姑娘的寓意就是“希望”！

在仙女的帮助下，她穿了一件银蓝色的晚礼服搭配绝无仅有的玻璃鞋。虽然我不是仙女，不过我将要为灰姑娘重新设计一件礼服。在我眼中，这件晚礼服的主要目的是在舞会中脱颖而出，所以需要是一件别出心裁的衣服。灰姑娘必须是那晚的“午夜宝石”。

I got some inspirations from Marchesa dresses and I came out with this sketch. With her blonde hair and fair skin in consideration, a dark blue tulle dress with sapphires and pearls beading can enhances her feature. Also, with the nature character of tulle, it will be semi-transparent and without a doubt, Cinderella can't go with half naked, body-showing dress, so an under garment is a must.

Although it will be a magic dress, but I think I put a little (just a little) too much pearls on the top, it makes her looks frivolous. So, I decided to simplify it and it going to look like the sketch on top right.

So,

"Salaga-doola, menchika-boola, Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo. Put them together, and what have you got? Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo. Salaga-doola, menchika-boola, Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo. It will do magic, believe it or not, Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo. Now, "Salagadoola" means, "A-Menchika-boola-roo," but the the thingamabob, that does the job, is "Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo."" — Fairy Godmother.

                                                                                                                                                                   

我的灵感来自于Marchesa的礼服。考虑上灰姑娘的金发碧眼和白皙的肌肤，一件深蓝色并绣上珍珠宝石的纱裙将会是绝配。因为纱布的关系，这件礼服将会是半透明状，所以一个内搭是必须的（总不可能让灰姑娘变成裸奔女吧？）。

虽说这是一件由仙女变出来的礼服，不过似乎我在胸口那放了太多装饰，让整件衣服多了一份轻浮感。所以我决定简化它，让整体看起来更优雅大方。

Taa-daa! Here is my Cinderella with flowing, semi-transparent dress; a complete set of jewellery; compatible glass slippers; a true mid-night jewel. There she goes for an unforgettable one-night dance with the prince.

                                                                                                                                                                   

于是乎，我的灰姑娘就完成了！穿着一件飘逸的薄纱裙，搭配一整套的珠宝首饰和一双玻璃鞋，一个真正的午夜宝石。

Snow White | 白雪公主

In my previous blog post, I introduced my personal project, Sanzose x Disney Princess, and here is the first post for it, Snow White. She is my very first Disney Princess which I watched when I was 7 years old and I was so amazed of how she communicates with animals with her lovely voice.

Snow White, as I know, is probably the most gentle and sweetest princess of all. She is naive, kind, sensitive and helpful. While I was doing the design for her, I considered some points: her elegant gesture, her sweetness, her love to sing and dance. She reminds me of the lovely spring blossoms.

In order to do so, I need a nicely tailored long sleeve dress with a shapeless skirt, flowing down her ankle to show elegance of her gesture and figure. The shapeless skirt flows when she dances and shows her youthfulness by this girlish cutting. I thought of some flower prints or flower lace to enhance the idea of spring blossoms. So at the end, I came out with this sketch.

                                                                                                                                                                   

在之前的部落格中，我介绍了这个自主策划。第一弹，白雪公主！白雪公主是我七岁时第一个看的童话。那时候对于她用歌声与动物们沟通的技巧感到很惊讶。

对我而言，白雪公主是公主系列中最天真无邪也是最甜美的那位。她的善良，无邪，热心助人的个性很是珍贵。为了设计一件适合他的衣服，我考虑了她的优雅举动，甜美的外表和喜爱唱歌跳舞的性格。不知怎么地，白雪公主让我联想到了春天花开的景象。

为了符合上述几点，我需要一件贴身优雅的长袖与飘逸的长裙。飘逸的裙子不单单体现了她那甜美的性格，也让她翩翩起舞时看起来更加动人。为了达成春暖花开的视觉感受，花朵图案或是蕾丝更是不可或缺。最终，起笔了这一张草稿。

The main concept is the spring blossoms. I retained the Disney Snow White's trademark colour as it is so strong that you can immediately know she is Snow White. Furthermore, I have used the same fabric as the dress to tie her hair up to show the sweetness of a young girl as Snow White. So that's it! Time to put it on Snow White!

                                                                                                                                                                   

我的主要概念是花开的春天。为了使大家能一眼认出白雪公主，我运用了迪斯尼原创色系作为我的色调。我也运用了同一个布料为发带，衬托白雪公主那青春动人的容颜。所有条件都达成了，事不宜迟，开画！

When I drew it, I changed the design around the waist and made the blue flower lace fade off at the end of the dress. So, this is the final version of my Snow White costume. The dress is in yellow, with blue flower lace sewn on. Same as the dress, the hair band is in yellow with blue flower lace sewn on as well. The red scarf belt enhances her waist figure and also adds a warm lively colour to it.

当我画到一半时，我修改了她腰间的花朵设计为慢慢向裙角淡出。整件裙以黄色为基调，蓝色花朵蕾丝锋在布料上，添加了做工的精致感。发带也以同样的方式制作。腰间的红色腰带为整体增添了温暖与活泼的色调。

Sanzose x Disney Princess

Since I was a kid, I am a Disney fan. What Disney have created is the "forever ever after". Although how impossible it is but as a child, it is so magical and miracle, especially for the Disney Princess series. 

I wonder how many people have done the whole Disney Princess, but I did. I love the way they converted the classic story to their very own Disney fantasy. The art and the setting of the movie, is amazing!  The costumes they designed for each princess are unique and match their character. 

Last year Christmas, Harrods London collaborated with 11 designers to create a fashion make over for each princess. Those designers are Versace, Oscar de la Renta, Ralph and Russo, Missoni, Marchesa, Christian Louboutin, Escada, Valentino, Roberto Cavalli, Jenny Peckham and Elie Saab.

When you pass through the window, you will be amazed by the fine tailored dress which specially made for the princesses. Each dress represented their characteristic well and the atmosphere they created is so fantasy! Probably the best window display yet!

This collaboration inspired me a lot and made me questioned myself, 'why not I create another set of costumes for Disney Princess?' As fashion is my passion, I should design a dress for each princess. So I had made up my mind, I want to design it! The next blog post, I will post my first Disney Princess make over. 自小以来，我都是一个迪斯尼迷。迪斯尼创造的“从此过着幸福快乐的日子”是那么的神奇，也那么的不切实际。不过对于一个小孩子来说，那已经足够，尤其是迪斯尼公主系列。

我一直很好奇有多少人看完过全部迪斯尼公主童话？作为一个粉丝来说，我当然看完了！我很喜欢迪斯尼把许许多多的传统童话一一改篇，注入新元素，让它成为不折不扣的“迪斯尼”。电影中的设定与场景都是一绝，更不用说那些为公主们量身打造的漂亮衣裳。

就在去年的圣诞节，伦敦Harrods和11名名设计师联手为公主们设计新服饰。这些设计师包括Versace, Oscar de la Renta, Ralph and Russo, Missoni, Marchesa, Christian Louboutin, Escada, Valentino, Roberto Cavalli, Jenny Peckham 和 Elie Saab.

当你路过Harrods的圣诞橱窗时，绝对会不禁赞叹那精致剪裁与华美的新公主服饰。衣服所展现的不只是那亮丽的外表，也体现了各个公主的性格。为了搭配主体，背景与氛围当然也精心策划过。对我来说，这或许是目前最漂亮的橱窗展示。

就在此时，心中不禁泛起涟漪。暗自问自己，为什么自己不也为迪斯尼公主设计一套衣服？所以，从那时起，我就决定要设计一系列公主服饰。我的下一篇部落格将会是我设计的第一弹，敬请期待！

Begin | 开始

After 6 years, I start blogging once again. Previously more about my young and emotional thought but now will be different. I will bring profession and inspiration to this blog. Share about everything I think is worth to share and inspiring. There is several reasons for me to start blogging again.

1. To share
The very first thing that comes to my mind when I think of blogging is share! As an abroad student, there is too much things to share: the things I saw, the things I have experienced, the things that inspired me, the thing that is worth to share to everyone! I don't know who will view and read my blog, but I will try my best not to bore my reader.

2. To write
Obviously blogging involves a lot of writing and my English writing skill still need to improve! This is a great chance for me to practice my English writing skill! There is a 15 000 words dissertation waiting for me next year! Scary! But I will kick it's butt for sure!

3. To show
I am a designer, I want to show my works! So, I need a platform for me to show. Ever since Facebook take credit on the things that post on Facebook, I can no longer post my work on it but I still wish to share my work to my friends, families and you! I need copyright to protect me and my creation! So blog!

4. To inspire and entertain
I hope my blog can inspire and entertain you! As I will post a lot different things on it, I do hope you enjoy reading it. 

I will keep update and keep create original piece of art! And please, leave a comment to let me know your opinion as well! I need feedback to improve!

阔别六年，再次起笔写部落格。与六年前不同的是，不再写些青春狂妄的情感；反之我将会把专业带到这个舞台上。在此分享我觉得值得与刺激灵感的东西。以下几点是我再次写部落格的原因：

1，分享
当我想到写部落格时，第一个在脑中闪现的就是分享。当一个留学生，生活中有太多太多的东西与大家分享。我参与的，我参观的，我感受的，我取得灵感的，都会与大家分享！虽然不知道会有谁光临我的部落格，不过我会尽我所能地娱乐你！

2，书写
写部落格，顾名思义名就是要写！虽然我要练习的是我的英文书写技巧，不过我可不能把我的中文晾在一旁不顾！就也趁此机会精进我的中文！毕竟我是以中英文，双语来写我的部落格的。

3，展示
作为一个设计师，自然会有想要展示给大众的作品。当面子书宣布所有发布在面子书上的图文都会是面子书版权所有，所以那自然不适合我发布任何作品。我需要版权来保护我和我的作品，那么，最好的地方当然就是部落格啦！

4，灵感与娱乐
作为一个部落格，当然不能让读者无聊。既然都来到这，当然也希望能够取得些许灵感与娱乐，所以希望读者能在图与字行间找到属于你的灵感与娱乐。

我会继续更新我的部落格，所以当然也希望读者们留下宝贵的意见。你的回复就是我的进步空间。
